Message from the President
Dear Parents,
The Bradford West Gwillimbury Minor
Hockey Association (BWGMHA) is currently working with the OMHA and the town of
Bradford to develop our Return-to-Play strategy. To do this, BWGMHA has created a Return-to-Play
committee with a goal of providing guidance for athletes, coaches, and families
to ensure the safety of all involved.
The protocols and procedures created by the committee will be posted in the coming weeks on our website: www.bradfordbulldogs.com.
As we look forward to the 2020/2021 season, to ensure the continued development of our athletes, our organization has made a decision to start the season by playing 4-on-4 hockey at all levels with the exception of our Pre-tyke Program. This format will run for 12 weeks beginning on September 28th. Based on current ice availability, athletes are anticipated to have 2 hours of ice each week (combination of games and practice). Each 4-on-4 team will include 9 players – 8 skaters and 1 goalie plus coaches. Additional details will be published once registration is finalized.
The cost for registration for the first half of the year will be $350.00.
Our Pre-Tyke program will start in late October or early November at a cost of $125.00.
As we move forward, we anticipate our protocols will evolve as the different phases under the guidance of the OMHA change in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic. For this reason, we will not be announcing our plan for the second half of the season until we have more information.
Registration is open now and will be closing on September 4, 2020.
For those families who have already registered for the 2020/2021 season, our BWGMHA Hockey Administrator Shannon Gardiner will be adding the $350.00 fee to your Hockey Canada account and will send you an invoice. Payments can be made by VISA/Mastercard securely over the phone by calling 905-778-0471. If you require alternative payment options please contact the BWGMHA Hockey Administrator.
We look forward to seeing everyone this fall, please stay healthy and safe.
Paul Dossey President
